Meet Dr. Colt Sicher, your Amarillo orthodontist

Hi, I’m Dr. Colt Sicher. I grew up right here in Amarillo, so being able to open an orthodontic practice in the community that raised me means a lot. My path into dentistry wasn’t exactly typical. One of the experiences that really shaped it was spending a year working with a dental team in the jungles of Peru. Seeing firsthand how life-changing access to dental care can be. 

Around that same time, I also had my own experience with dental treatment when a dentist helped resolve my TMD symptoms. That experience sparked my interest in dentistry and eventually led me to orthodontics.

My background includes a B.S. in Marketing, a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and an M.S. in Orthodontics. But before specializing in orthodontics, I spent four years serving as a dentist in the United States Air Force. That experience helped shape the way I approach patient care today.

I think what I love most about orthodontics is that every case is different. Planning treatment, whether it’s braces or clear aligners, is a lot like solving a mystery, and I genuinely enjoy figuring out the best solution for each individual smile.

Creating a welcoming orthodontic office in Amarillo

One of my goals when opening Sicher Orthodontics was to create an office that feels comfortable and personal for every patient who walks through the door.

We’re not interested in creating a rushed, corporate-style orthodontic office. Instead, we focus on building a relaxed environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and taking their time to understand their treatment.

Our team works closely together to make sure every patient receives thoughtful, attentive care from the moment they arrive. We also try to keep things fun around here. You’ll find action sports playing on the TVs and a beverage station in the office to help make visits feel a little more relaxed. Small details like that help make orthodontic appointments easier and more enjoyable.
